My makeup style...

I am more of a simple look type of girl... I have very strong facial structure so I had to embrace my features very quickly. I have the full lips and bright eyes with very high cheek bones. I guess I consider myself lucky because people would definitely spend an arm and a leg to have what I have been blessed with.

I'm Seeing RED

Red will always be the most popular lipstick color. However you can not just pick any color red there are several different shades of Red Lipstick to choose from. You should select the red lipstick that is closer to your skin tone.  The 3 different skin tone categories that you should use to select your shade are Fair, Medium and Dark.

Fair Skin…
Most people with a fair skin tone usually have pink undertones so therefore they should select a red lipstick that has pink or plum undertones you could even possibly try a true red.

Medium Skin…
Berry or Brown colors work well with your skin tone.  Avoid any red color with orange undertones, search more for a bright or cherry red.

Dark Skin…
Try to find something that will compliment your skin color, usually berry or cranberry undertones go well with dark skin tones.

Tips to wearing a red lip
1. Match your skin tone
2. Keep the eyes subtle
3. Remember always use a liner to get the perfect lip
4. Try to find a lipstick with a blue pigments if you would like to whiten your smile.

Lashing Out

We have all heard of hair extensions, but the latest beauty craze is EYELASH EXTENSIONS. Eyelash extensions are an entirely new method of enhancing the length and thickness of eyelashes. The lashes are applied one by one directly to the natural eyelash with a specially formulated bonding adhesive. The lashes will shed after about 2-4 weeks but they can be retouched. With the proper care, the lashes can last for as long 2 months, and get this you: do not have to adjust your lifestyle because they will not come off due to excessive heat or water activities. The lash application process usually takes anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can select the lash length and thickness that you desire. The price for the initial application can range from $200 and up with a refill visit starting at $50. I have included a link for a great deal on the lash extensions at Face Art Studio that is only good for today. For $89 you get a voucher for 1 application of customized lashes which is good for up to one year from the date that you purchase.

Maintaining Moisture

Dry skin is a very common condition, if you are not diagnosed with a skin condition it's is something that can be cured. With just a few steps every day you can revitalize your skin.

The First step is to Exfoliate. Exfoliating removes all of the dead skin cells preparing your body to accept moisture. You can either use an exfoliating body bar or body wash.

Once you have showered with the exfoliating cleanser, you will not towel dry instead it’s best to brush the water off with your hands allowing the skin to remain damp.

Next you will apply a lotion or body moisturizer while the skin is damp, allowing the skin to set and soak in all of the moisture. After waitng a few minutes you will then pat the skin dry.

This should be performed every time you shower and throughout the day if you so choose. Moisturizing keeps the skin looking soft and youthful.
